NCAHT (National Centre for Assistive Health Technologies) aims to be an apex centre focused on understanding critical gaps in AT development and aess in India, building high-impact R&D activities leading to innovative, accessible and usable solutions, catalysing collaborations with industry, academia, non-profit and Govt. sectors, enabling adoption of AT in daily life through training and capacity building and creating a facility that showcases and evaluates state of the art solutions. It is a joint effort of Assistech Lab at IIT Delhi, Saksham, R2D2 Lab at IIT Madras, National Institute for Speech and Hearing Impaired (NISH) supported by ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research).
